The 187 Hockey Grinding Wheels were developed for precise, consistent, and reproducible skate sharpening. They are designed for compatible Blademaster skate sharpening machines and are ideal for hockey shops, pro shops, clubs, and professional sharpening services.

A high-quality grinding wheel is crucial for the result on the blade. The 187 Hockey Grinding Wheels offer controlled grinding performance and are available in two different hardness levels – green and pink –. This allows the grinding wheel to be selected to suit the preferred sharpening style and area of application.

Your benefits

  • Precise and consistent material removal
  • Constant, reproducible sharpening results
  • Two different wheel hardnesses available
  • Green = harder bond
  • Pink = softer bond
  • Suitable for various hollow grinds
  • Compatible with corresponding Blademaster machines
  • For regular and professional use
  • Ideal for hockey shops, clubs, and sharpening services
  • Optimally combinable with 187 Hockey Diamond Dressers

GREEN – Hard Grinding Wheel

Harder. Dimensionally stable. Long-lasting.

The green 187 Hockey Grinding Wheel has a harder bond. The abrasive grains are held in the wheel longer, which allows it to maintain its shape for a longer time and achieves a long service life.

This makes the green version particularly interesting for users with regular or high sharpening volumes who value dimensional stability, low wheel wear, and constant grinding performance.

Characteristics:

  • Harder bond
  • High dimensional stability
  • Long service life
  • Lower wheel wear
  • Constant grinding performance
  • Ideal for high throughput

Recommended for:
Hockey shops, pro shops, clubs, and sharpening services with regular to high sharpening volumes.

PINK – Soft Grinding Wheel

Softer. Free-cutting. Direct.

The pink 187 Hockey Grinding Wheel has a softer bond. Worn abrasive grains can therefore detach more easily from the bond, exposing new, sharp grains.

This ensures a free-cutting and direct grinding performance. The softer characteristic can be particularly interesting when controlled responsiveness during sharpening is desired.

Due to the softer bond, the wear on the grinding wheel is higher by design than with the harder green version.

Characteristics:

  • Softer bond
  • Free-cutting grinding performance
  • Faster exposure of new abrasive grains
  • Direct response
  • Higher wheel wear
  • Ideal for users who prefer a softer wheel characteristic
